MERI College Hosts Global Faculty Dialogue with SIAM University

MERI College, Delhi, in collaboration with SIAM University, Thailand, successfully organized Vishwavyapi Adhyayan: International Faculty Dialogue as part of its Student Exchange Program. The event served as a platform for students and faculty to engage with global educators, discussing emerging trends in education, research-driven learning approaches, and sustainable academic models.

Academic Leaders and Global Perspectives

The distinguished delegation from SIAM University included Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President; Prof. (Dr.) Chanita Rukspollmuang, Vice President; and Dr. Yhing Sawheny, Director of International Affairs. They were welcomed by MERI’s academic leadership, represented by Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice President; Dr. Rakesh Khurana, Advisor; Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi, Head of the Centre for International Studies; and Dr. Deepshikha Kalra, Dean, along with faculty members and students.

Discussions on the Future of Education

The event began with an insightful discussion on the evolution of higher education. Dr. Mongkhonvanit stressed the need for academic institutions to be adaptable, ensuring students are prepared for international careers. Prof. (Dr.) Rukspollmuang introduced SIAM University’s Triangle of Living Learning Lab (SU-LLL)—a model integrating academics, research, and community engagement, aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

International Opportunities and Student Engagement

Dr. Sawheny led an interactive session focused on global academic opportunities, encouraging students from BBA, MBA, BAJMC, BCA, and B.Com programs to explore cross-border learning and career pathways. A quiz on international education trends added a dynamic element to the event, with winners receiving special recognition.

Strengthening Global Partnerships

Wrapping up the dialogue, Dr. Kalra extended her gratitude to the visiting dignitaries and participants, reaffirming MERI College’s commitment to equipping students with the skills and global exposure necessary to excel in an interconnected world.
