Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won bronze in the 10m mixed team air pistol event at the Tokyo Olympics 2024, which are currently taking place in Paris. Their victory came after a decisive 16-10 win over South Korea in the bronze medal match, marking India’s second shooting medal at these Games.
Manu Bhaker had previously made history by becoming India’s first female shooter to win an Olympic medal on Sunday. Today’s bronze medal solidifies her legacy further as the first Indian athlete to win multiple medals at a single Olympic Games, achieved at just 22 years old.

Sarabjot Singh, who is also 22 years old, is from the Ambala village of Dheen. His journey into shooting began after a transformative experience at a summer camp, shifting his focus from football. Despite initial financial concerns, he convinced his parents to support his career in shooting. Under coach Abhishek Rana at the AR Shooting Academy in Ambala Cantt, Sarabjot’s dedication and talent flourished, leading to significant victories including gold at the Junior World Championship and success at national and international levels.
Their achievement adds to India’s rich Olympic history, joining the ranks of illustrious athletes who have brought glory to the nation.
