The Lucknow Super Giants will host the Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday in their first IPL 2025 home game.
While Rishabh Pant’s LSG defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad handily before falling to the Delhi Capitals by a single wicket, Shreyas Iyer’s team began its IPL 2025 campaign with an exciting 11-run victory over Gujarat Titans at home in Ahmedabad.
LSG hopes to maintain its winning streak, while PBKS aims for the top spot in the points table. In terms of squad composition, Punjab Kings is fortunate to have a full-strength bench available for selection. However, things are very different for the Lucknow Super Giants, who are struggling with their bowling attack. Akash Deep and Mayank Yadav are still not totally fit and will be unavailable for the Punjab match.
In contrast, LSG signed Shardul Thakur, who has been the team’s striking bowler, as an in-form pacer. Both LSG and PBKS are anticipated to start with the same lineup as in their prior games.
