People Flock to Buy Quality Products from Bihar at the Delhi FPO Fair

The ‘Itarhi Farmers Producer Company’ located in the Itarhi block of Buxar district in Bihar has given Bihar a special recognition in the field of agricultural products. This company produces products like gram sattu, gram flour besan, Chappan Bhog rice, Sona Mansoori rice, Sona Chur rice, and various types of pickles, helping to increase the income of the farmers in the area and making them self-reliant.
Recently, this company showcased its products at the FPO (Farmers Producer Organization) fair held at Delhi Haat in INA, Delhi. Over 30,000 visitors attended this three-day fair, with products worth approximately 10 million rupees being sold. The fair served as an important platform for direct interaction between farmers and consumers. Under 55 FPOs, products from 1,000 farmers were showcased.
This event gave farmers the opportunity to present their products to a larger market and allowed consumers to purchase high-quality products directly from the farmers. Itarhi Farmers Producer Company played a significant role in giving Bihar a special recognition with their high-quality gram sattu, gram flour besan, Chappan Bhog rice, Sona Mansoori rice, Sona Chur rice, and various products prepared by farmers. A large crowd gathered to purchase these products at the fair.
During his visit to the FPO Mela, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also praised the quality of the products and he appreciated the hard work of Deepak Gupta and Vishal Singh. Visitor Ruchi Sharma mentioned, “Itarhi Farmers Producer Company has given national recognition to Bihar’s agricultural products. The high demand for their products at the fair has proven that taste and quality are always appreciated. I really liked the gram sattu. It is an excellent drink for summers.”
Another visitor, Reva Sehgal, shared, “I really liked the products at Bihar’s stall. I bought gram flour besan because pakoras are much loved during the rainy season. Besides that, I also purchased various types of pickles.”
It is worth noting that these products from Bihar are quite popular for their taste and quality. The company’s pickles are also greatly appreciated by people. These pickles are made in a traditional manner using local spices and methods, enhancing their flavor. Members of the company, Deepak Kumar Gupta and Vishal Kumar Singh, stated that the demand for their products is rapidly increasing not only in Bihar but also in other parts of the country. Through these products, the company has worked towards economically empowering the farmers.
