Yaduvanshi Community Holds Mahapanchayat, Demands Change in Film Title ‘120 Bahadur’

New Delhi: A grand Mahapanchayat of the Yaduvanshi community was organized at the Ahir Regiment protest site, located near Kherki Daula Toll Plaza. The purpose of this Mahapanchayat was to register opposition against the title of the film “120 Bahadur”, being made by director Mr. Rajnish Ghai and producer Mr. Farhan Akhtar.

The Yaduvanshi community clearly stated that during the historic Rezang La battle in the 1962 Indo-China war, the 13 Kumaon Battalion was honored by the government with the title “Veer Ahir” for displaying exceptional valor. Therefore, the film’s title must be “120 Veer Ahir”. According to the community, the title “120 Bahadur” is not only an insult to the 114 brave martyrs but also historically inaccurate and unacceptable.

A large number of Yaduvanshi community members attended the Mahapanchayat and expressed deep resentment at the filmmakers’ disregard. The community demanded that the film’s title be changed to “120 Veer Ahir”. They also insisted that before its official release on 21st November 2025, the film should be shown to the martyrs’ families and representatives of the community. The recently released teaser was criticized for suppressing the collective heroism of Ahir soldiers and instead exaggerating the bravery of a single individual, which they declared unacceptable.

Several senior leaders from different political parties also participated in the Mahapanchayat and extended their support to the organizers. They urged the filmmakers to respect the community’s sentiments and present the film in a just and fair manner.

Prominent leaders present included Colonel Chandu Lal, Dr. T.C. Rao (Coordinator, Shaheed Parivar Kalyan Foundation), Colonel Mahabir Yadav (President, Shaheed Parivar Kalyan Foundation), Commander V.P. Yadav, Major S.N. Yadav, Mr. Ved Yadav, Sadhvi Pushpa Shastri, Mr. Arun Yadav (Founder, Ahir Regiment Morcha), Mr. Sochan Sarpanch (Shikohpur), Mr. Satish Parishad (Nawada), Mr. Ravindra Fauji (Khoh), Mr. Dharampal Yadav (Naharpur), Mr. Rajbir Yadav (Sarpanch, Baghan Ki), Mr. Dharm Singh Numberdar (Badshahpur), Mr. Devinder Pradhan (Surheda), Mr. Ramavatar Pradhan (Yadav Mahasabha Jhajjar), Mr. Abhay Ram Yadav (President, Yadav Mahasabha Mahendragarh), and Mr. Sachin Yadav (Garhi).

The Yaduvanshi community has warned that if their demands are not addressed, they will launch a nationwide movement and boycott the film. The community has resolved that the heroic saga of the Rezang La martyrs, the Ahir warriors, must be presented in alignment with historical truth.
