Record-breaking performance this year with government schools outperforming private ones
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced the results for Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary) examinations. This year, girl students have outshone their male counterparts, securing top positions across both merit lists.
The pass percentage for the Class 12 exams stood at 74.48%, while Class 10 saw a success rate of 76.22%. The results were declared by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in the presence of School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh. CM Yadav highlighted that this year’s performance not only surpassed previous years but also broke a 15-year record. Notably, government schools outperformed private institutions in both examinations.
In the Higher Secondary examination, Priyam Dwivedi from Satna district emerged as the state topper with an impressive 492 out of 500 marks. A total of 159 students secured positions in the merit list—89 of them were girls, underscoring the increasing academic empowerment of female students.
In the High School examination, Pragya Jaiswal from Singrauli created history by scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 marks. Of the 212 students in the merit list, 144 were girls and 68 boys, once again reflecting the strong performance of female students across the board.
CM Yadav congratulated the girls for their remarkable achievements and credited schemes like ‘Ladli Behna’ and ‘Ladli Laxmi’ for encouraging girls’ education. He said these initiatives have played a significant role in improving academic outcomes for girl students.
He also assured that the state government is taking special measures to support students who did not pass, to help them succeed in the future. Additionally, the Chief Minister extended his appreciation to the officials and educators of Narsinghpur, Neemuch, and Mandla districts for their outstanding contribution to this year’s success.
