Bharatatma Veda Awards 2025 Celebrate India’s Vedic Heritage in Pune

Swami Govindadev Giriji Maharaj Highlights the Timeless Relevance of the Vedas

The city of Pune hosted the prestigious Bharatatma Veda Awards 2025, honouring outstanding Vedic scholars, teachers, and institutions. Held at the Dadasaheb Darode Auditorium, the event was dedicated to the memory of Bharatatma Shri Ashokji Singhal, a noted champion of Vedic tradition.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Govindadev Giriji Maharaj said the Vedas remain the soul of Indian civilisation, acting as the fountainhead of global knowledge streams. He added that Ashokji Singhal’s life mission centred around reviving this ancient wisdom.

Salil Singhalji of the Singhal Foundation explained the awards’ mission to support Veda students and institutions nationwide. With three award categories—Outstanding Veda Student (₹3 lakh), Ideal Veda Teacher (₹5 lakh) and Best Veda Institution (₹7 lakh)—the initiative ensures a fair, fully online selection process.

The shortlist for the year also featured acclaimed scholars and institutions from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, reflecting the growing national engagement with Vedic education.

The ceremony reaffirmed the significance of the Bharatatma Veda Awards in sustaining India’s Vedic knowledge systems, encouraging more young students to pursue traditional learning.
