Darbhanga, November 3, 2025

Jan Suraj Party candidate and former Director General of Police, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, visited the site of the domestic cylinder blast in Darbhanga Assembly constituency on Saturday to meet the victims and offer support. He expressed deep sympathy for the affected families and emphasized that the current moment calls for compassion and solidarity, not political gain.

During his visit, Mishra highlighted that the Jan Suraj Party team has been actively engaged in providing medical aid, essential supplies, and rehabilitation assistance to those impacted by the tragic incident. However, the visit was momentarily disrupted by a few miscreants attempting to create unrest. The party strongly condemned the act, labeling it a premeditated attempt motivated by apprehension over Mishra’s growing public support in Darbhanga and the Mithila region.

Speaking to the media, Mishra said that his commitment to public service — first as a senior police officer and now as an elected representative — remains unwavering. He asserted that his politics is grounded in service and integrity, rather than power or personal gain, and that his priority is to ensure development, transparency, and welfare for the people of Darbhanga.

“This is not the time for politics, but for compassion — humanity must guide our actions,” Mishra said.

He urged the citizens of Darbhanga to exercise their democratic rights responsibly and cast their votes for the ‘School Bag’ symbol on November 6, reinforcing that Bihar deserves progress, honesty, and peace over fear or coercion.
