Jabalpur: Two minor boys, aged 11 and 12, who had run away from their home in Patna without informing their parents, were rescued by an alert Ticket Examiner (TTE) at Jabalpur railway station. The boys, who were journeying ticketless to Allahabad, were picked up by TTE Manoj Kumar Singh while doing spot checks.
Two boys, friends from a village near Patna, had boarded a train without tickets or luggage. When questioned, they panicked and tried to flee but were calmed by Singh, who reassured them of their safety. The Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) offered them food and cake and contacted their families. Later, Singh handed the boys over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) during odd hours, where they remained safely until their parents arrived.
The DCM, senior Dr. Madhur Verma, appreciated the vigilance and sense of humanity displayed by Singh towards the situation. The incident emphasizes the important role played by railway staff in keeping children safe.
