Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed his condolences over the deaths in the Hathras incident in Uttar Pradesh and extended his sympathies to the bereaved families. He mentioned that he is deeply saddened by this tragic event and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured. His statement was released by the Kazakhstan Embassy in India.
It is worth noting that 121 people died in a stampede during a religious gathering in Hathras, making it one of the largest incidents of its kind in recent years. The incident occurred when devotees, mostly women, were returning home after a satsang in Fulrai village of Hathras district. The satsang was conducted by Baba Narayan Hari, also known as Jagat Guru Sakaar Vishwahariji’s Bhole Baba.
In a statement issued by the Kazakhstan Embassy, the President said, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Hathras. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and myself, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones. I also wish for the speedy recovery of the injured. In this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with all Indians.”
