Ambala, Haryana – July 28, 2024:
The largest FPO fair in Haryana, which started on July 26 in the New Grain Market of Ambala City, concluded on Sunday, July 28. The fair saw a massive turnout of people eager to buy natural and organic products directly from farmers. Many also opted for home delivery services. Thanks to the high-quality products offered by the farmers, the fair recorded sales exceeding 3 crore rupees. Over the three-day event, more than 40 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) participated, showcasing over 1,000 natural and organic products. The fair also featured eight startups funded by the central government’s RKVY RAFTAAR scheme, which demonstrated their innovative agricultural technologies.
Organizer Rahul Dhingra said, “This fair recorded sales exceeding 3 crore rupees. Agritech companies have booked orders worth 90 lakh rupees. The event has capitalized on significant business opportunities in the field of agricultural technology. Moreover, over 50 local caterers and hotels have partnered for future sales. This event has been instrumental in establishing strong ties between local businesses and agritech companies. This not only boosted the local economy but also created new employment opportunities.”

Jagmeet Singh from Kubota Dealership and Samundar Singh from Indo Farm Tractors expressed their happiness over the sales, stating, “This event has not only increased our sales but also strengthened our relationships with local businesses. Such events help farmers choose the right options according to their needs.” The fair saw the sale and delivery of two tractors each from Indo Farm and Kubota.
Dr. Ranjit Rajput from SFAC, the nodal officer for the event, oversaw the entire fair. He managed various activities to ensure the smooth running of the event and coordinated with all stakeholders to provide an excellent experience for the participants. Under his leadership, the fair created numerous opportunities for farmers and local businesses. He expressed satisfaction with the successful organization of the event and emphasized the need for similar events in the future.
The fair ran from 10 AM to 9 PM over the three days. To enhance visitor interaction, discover unique products, and provide entertainment, home delivery was made available through the F2DF (Farmer’s Online Shop) application, offering convenience and accessibility to everyone.
Various Activities Organized for Consumers
The fair offered more than just shopping opportunities for consumers; it also included family activities. There were games for children, allowing them to enjoy the fair with their parents. Various entertainment programs, including group dances and other recreational activities, showcased Haryanvi culture to the attendees. Additionally, a lucky draw was organized, offering excellent prizes to the winners.
