Producer Dinesh Vijan announces “Stree 2,” promising answers and new horrors, with original cast returning; film slated for August 15 release.

Dinesh Vijan, who created the successful horror-comedy series starting with “Stree,” revealed intriguing details about the upcoming follow-up, “Stree 2,” at a highly anticipated Mumbai trailer launch event।After being well received by both critics and audiences when it was released in 2018, “Stree” not only became a box office hit but also laid the groundwork for more supernatural stories like “Roohi,” “Bhediya,” and the latest hit “Munjya।”

Because there are a lot of visual effects in it, we want to leave that for the theater, so the trailer is only ten percent।”
Adding to the intrigue, Dinesh Vijan hinted at future expansions within his horror-comedy universe, teasing the next film titled “Thama,” details of which will be disclosed later. He also revealed that “Stree 3” has already been scripted, promising a shorter gap between sequels to keep audiences engaged.
Shraddha Kapoor, clad in a striking red saree for the occasion, added to the excitement with her presence. When asked about her personal life, she cleverly evoked a memorable line from the first film, humorously deflecting inquiries about her marriage plans.
