In a passionate address to a massive gathering of BJP workers at the Jamboree Maidan in the state capital Bhopal, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan fired verbal salvos at the Congress while highlighting the remarkable turnaround of Madhya Pradesh under BJP governance.
Chouhan declared, “We did a lot of work in Madhya Pradesh. Remember that dark phase of Congress when they labeled our state a ‘Bimaru Rajya’ (ailing state). We have successfully eradicated that ‘Bimaru’ stigma. During Congress’s rule, we had a mere 60,000 kilometers of dilapidated roads, but today we boast five lakh kilometers of splendid roads across the state.”
