Bigg Boss 17 winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, has resurfaced on social media following his recent encounter with Mumbai police. Faruqui, who was among 14 individuals apprehended during a raid at a hookah parlour in South Mumbai, has since been released by authorities after it was determined that the charges against him were bailable.

The Mumbai police’s Social Service division conducted the raid at a hookah parlour located in the Bora Bazar neighborhood of Fort, starting at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday and lasting until 5 a.m. on Wednesday. According to officials, Faruqui and others were found smoking hookahs during the operation.

Faruqui took to Instagram Stories to share his first post since the incident, uploading a selfie where he can be seen wearing a blue T-shirt and a hat, accompanied by a smiley face. The comedian, known for his stand-up acts and television appearances, has garnered significant attention both in the entertainment industry and on reality TV.

During his stint on Bigg Boss 17, Faruqui was a prominent figure, capturing the spotlight with his presence. However, his journey on the show faced challenges, particularly with allegations made against him by fellow contestant Ayesha Khan. Khan accused Faruqui of betrayal and dishonesty, which affected his performance on the show despite maintaining his resilience.
