Bhopal’s Preeti Bhati to Grace ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ with Amitabh Bachchan

Preeti Bhati, a resident of Bhopal, is poised to bring honor to her city as she joins Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan on the popular reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ The episodes featuring Preeti, an ASI in the Rapid Action Force, are scheduled to air on Wednesday and Thursday.

In a show promo, Preeti humorously shares with host Amitabh Bachchan that she’s often teased and affectionately called ‘Bachchan’ due to her impressive height of 5 feet and 10 inches.

According to media reports, Preeti’s father, Santosh Bhati, originally hails from the village of Barchha Buzurg in the Dewas district. Serving in the police department, he experienced frequent transfers, prompting the family to relocate to Bhopal. Preeti still makes visits to Barchha as some of her relatives reside there. She expressed that being a part of the show has been a lifelong dream. “I have been watching KBC since childhood. The dream of sitting on the hot seat in front of Amitabh Bachchan is now coming true. The one and a half to two hours spent with Amitabh sir on the set have become memorable for a lifetime for me,” she shared.

In a unique twist, all three members of her immediate family are in the police force. Preeti’s father, Santosh Bhati, has served in the Central Reserve Police since 1988. After completing her education, Preeti joined the CRPF in 2017 and later transitioned to the Bhopal Rapid Action Force from Chennai. In February 2022, Preeti tied the knot with Bhanu Pratap from Hajipur, Bihar, who is also an ASI in CRPF. Preeti had the privilege of visiting the KBC sets with her father and husband, creating cherished memories during her encounter with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.
