Atishi criticized the Election Commission during a press conference in Delhi, claiming that it is acting on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a press conference in Delhi, Atishi, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, launched a harsh attack on the Election Commission, accusing it of working at on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Delhi minister Atishi urged the ED on Saturday to disclose the action taken against BJP leaders in relation to alleged money laundering cases, just a day after receiving a notice from the Election Commission.

The notice was sent to Atishi by the EC following her assertion that she was approached by BJP representatives, offering her membership in the party or warning her of potential detention by the Enforcement Directorate within a month.

This comes after AAP claimed earlier that BJP had obtained large sums of money through electoral bonds from a person implicated in the suspected Delhi excise policy scandal. AAP had filed a request with the ED to look into the BJP in relation to this issue. In addition, the party insisted that the ED look into the BJP’s suspected involvement in the money exchanges associated with the matter.

During the press conference, Atishi didn’t limit her criticism solely to the BJP. She accused the central party of exploiting not only the Election Commission but also other central institutions to target and undermines the opposition.
