Bollywood actor and producer Abhishek Bachchan, son of historic actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has bagged yet another source of income in addition to his extensive portfolio. Together with starring performances in films like Guru, Dhoom, Dostana, and Bunty Aur Babli, Abhishek is also a successful entrepreneur, with input in multiple businesses, including stakes in sports teams.
The media speculates that the handsome net worth of ₹280 crore has recently won the actor a lucrative deal with the State Bank of India (SBI) under a lease agreement. The ground floor of Bachchan family’s sprawling Juhu property, Ammu and Vats, has been leased to the SBI for 15 years, which will generate steady and large rental income.
The 3150 square feet is rented out to SBI at the price of ₹18.9 lakh per month. There are also provisions in the lease for the gradual increment of rent over predetermined intervals; after five years, it is going to increase to ₹23.6 lakh per month, and as of the 10th year, it is going to be at ₹29.5 lakh per month.
This space is just next to the Bachchan family’s landmark bungalow, Jalsa, making it great for the bank’s operating facilities.
The deal shows how the Bachchan clan has been expert in reinventing whatever they have into a long-term income-generating asset. At the same time, it emphasizes the demand for pricy real estate in affluent pockets of Mumbai.
Abhishek Bachchan’s varied pursuits in both entertainment and enterprise lend further credibility to this successful actor and businessman.
